What You Can Type With Cotoris
With complete upper and lowercase letters and all ten digits, Cotoris is ready for real wording, not just a single headline. Common punctuation such as &, !, ? and @ is included as well. It also has the accented letters you need for Spanish, French, German, Portuguese and Italian. Of its 790 glyphs, about 422 are not on your keyboard at all. That is where the alternates explained below live.
How to Use the Alternate Letters in Cotoris
Cotoris has stylistic alternates, 3 stylistic sets, optional ligatures and ornaments built in as OpenType features. In Illustrator and InDesign, open the Glyphs panel (Window > Type) and select a letter to see its alternates. In Photoshop, use Window > Glyphs. Figma shows them under the text settings as OpenType features. Microsoft Word can switch on stylistic sets in the Font dialog under Advanced. Canva and Cricut Design Space can't reach OpenType alternates, so for those, set the word in a desktop app first and import it as an SVG. Its ligatures switch on by themselves in most design apps: certain letter pairs join into one specially drawn shape.
Where Cotoris Works Best
Think of Cotoris for book covers, magazine headlines and classic branding. Serif fonts shine in headlines and printed text. For long paragraphs on phones, check that it still reads well at small sizes.
