What You Can Type With TT Travels

You get every letter from A to Z in both cases and all the numbers from 0 to 9, which means TT Travels can handle full sentences, dates and prices. Everyday marks like &, !, ? and @ are there too. Thanks to its accented letters, it also works for Spanish, French, German, Portuguese and Italian, not just English. On top of that, it includes Cyrillic characters. Of its 594 glyphs, about 144 are not on your keyboard at all. That is where the alternates explained below live.

How to Use the Alternate Letters in TT Travels

TT Travels has stylistic alternates, 2 stylistic sets and optional ligatures built in as OpenType features. In Illustrator and InDesign, open the Glyphs panel (Window > Type) and select a letter to see its alternates. In Photoshop, use Window > Glyphs. Figma shows them under the text settings as OpenType features. Microsoft Word can switch on stylistic sets in the Font dialog under Advanced. Canva and Cricut Design Space can't reach OpenType alternates, so for those, set the word in a desktop app first and import it as an SVG. Another 19 alternates are stored as separate characters, so you can copy them from Character Map on Windows or Font Book on a Mac and paste them anywhere, including Cricut Design Space and Canva. Ligatures and contextual alternates switch on by themselves: some letter pairs join into one shape and letters change to fit their neighbours, so repeated letters don't look copy-pasted. This works automatically in most design apps and modern browsers.
