Empire of Dust designed Paper Cuts 2 (under the “Fancy” aesthetic classification) as a playful, geometric display typeface. To mimic the raw, angular shapes of paper collage art, the designer replaced traditional curves with sharp, fragmented straight edges, making each letterform look as if someone roughly sliced it out with a pair of scissors.
