Ligatures and Smart Letters in Mentality

Its ligatures switch on by themselves in most design apps: certain letter pairs join into one specially drawn shape.

Where Mentality Works Best

Mentality is a natural fit for wedding invitations, certificates and elegant quotes. The file has no kerning data, so in logos and big titles check pairs like AV, To and Wa and tighten the spacing by hand. Script fonts read best in short bursts, so keep it to names, titles and one-line quotes. Skip all caps: script capitals are drawn to start a word, not to fill one.

Mentality Font FAQs

Is Mentality font free to download?

Yes. You can download Mentality for free from this page: free ZIP (239.9 KB) with one OTF and one TTF files. Free to download doesn't always mean free for business use, so check the license section on this page before you use it in anything you sell.

How do I install Mentality on Windows or Mac?

Extract the ZIP file, then open the font file inside it. Click Install on Windows or Install Font on a Mac. The ZIP has both OTF and TTF versions of the same font. Install only one of them (OTF is the better pick for Adobe apps), because installing both can show duplicate names in your font list. Restart any app that was already open so it picks up Mentality.

Does Mentality have ligatures?

Yes. Mentality has ligatures that turn on by themselves in most design apps and browsers, so you don't need to do anything special.

Can I use Mentality in Canva and Cricut?

Canva lets you upload it on Pro, Teams and other plans with font uploads (Brand Kit > Upload a font); free accounts can't upload fonts. For Cricut Design Space, install it on your computer first and it shows up under System fonts.

Does Mentality support accented letters?

Yes. Mentality includes the accented letters needed for Spanish, French, Portuguese and Italian, so it works for more than just English.

What fonts pair well with Mentality?

For the small print, like dates, addresses or menu items, pair it with a clean sans serif such as Montserrat or Lato.
