What You Can Type With Magilio

With complete upper and lowercase letters and all ten digits, Magilio is ready for real wording, not just a single headline. Everyday marks like &, !, ? and @ are there too. There are no accented letters like é or ñ, so it's best kept to English text.

How to Use the Alternate Letters in Magilio

Magilio has stylistic alternates and a stylistic set built in as OpenType features. In Illustrator and InDesign, open the Glyphs panel (Window > Type) and select a letter to see its alternates. In Photoshop, use Window > Glyphs. Figma shows them under the text settings as OpenType features. Microsoft Word can switch on stylistic sets in the Font dialog under Advanced. Canva and Cricut Design Space can't reach OpenType alternates, so for those, set the word in a desktop app first and import it as an SVG. Its ligatures switch on by themselves in most design apps: certain letter pairs join into one specially drawn shape.

Where Magilio Works Best

Designers usually reach for fonts like Magilio when they're making book covers, magazine headlines and classic branding. Serif fonts shine in headlines and printed text. For long paragraphs on phones, check that it still reads well at small sizes. Because the family has more than one style, you can mix them in a single design for headings, subheadings and highlights.
