What You Can Type With Look Script
Look Script covers the full alphabet in upper and lowercase, plus all ten numbers, so you can set names, dates and prices without switching fonts. Everyday marks like &, !, ? and @ are there too. Thanks to its accented letters, it also works for Spanish, French, German, Portuguese and Italian, not just English. Of its 468 glyphs, about 98 are not on your keyboard at all. That is where the alternates explained below live.
How to Use the Alternate Letters in Look Script
Look Script has swashes, stylistic alternates and 2 stylistic sets built in as OpenType features. In Illustrator and InDesign, open the Glyphs panel (Window > Type) and select a letter to see its alternates. In Photoshop, use Window > Glyphs. Figma shows them under the text settings as OpenType features. Microsoft Word can switch on stylistic sets in the Font dialog under Advanced. Canva and Cricut Design Space can't reach OpenType alternates, so for those, set the word in a desktop app first and import it as an SVG. Another 8 alternates are stored as separate characters, so you can copy them from Character Map on Windows or Font Book on a Mac and paste them anywhere, including Cricut Design Space and Canva. Ligatures and contextual alternates switch on by themselves: some letter pairs join into one shape and letters change to fit their neighbours, so repeated letters don't look copy-pasted. This works automatically in most design apps and modern browsers.
Where Look Script Works Best
Look Script is a natural fit for greeting cards, journal pages and friendly social posts. Set it a bit larger than you would a normal text font. Handwriting styles lose their charm once they get too small to read comfortably.
Look Script Font FAQs
Is Look Script font free to download?
Yes. You can download Look Script for free from this page: free ZIP (145.8 KB) with three TTF files. Free to download doesn't always mean free for business use, so check the license section on this page before you use it in anything you sell.
How do I install Look Script on Windows or Mac?
Extract the ZIP file, then open the font file inside it. Click Install on Windows or Install Font on a Mac. The ZIP contains TTF files, which work on Windows, Mac, Cricut and almost every app. Restart any app that was already open so it picks up Look Script.
How do I get the alternate letters and swashes in Look Script?
Some are OpenType features, which you pick from the Glyphs panel in Illustrator, InDesign or Photoshop. The other 8 are separate characters you can copy from Character Map (Windows) or Font Book (Mac) and paste into any app, Cricut and Canva included.
Can I use Look Script in Canva and Cricut?
Canva lets you upload it on Pro, Teams and other plans with font uploads (Brand Kit > Upload a font); free accounts can't upload fonts. For Cricut Design Space, install it on your computer first and it shows up under System fonts.
Does Look Script support accented letters?
Yes. Look Script includes the accented letters needed for Spanish, French, German, Portuguese and Italian, so it works for more than just English.

A plain sans serif like Open Sans or Poppins makes a good partner for any longer text around it.
