What You Can Type With Krinkes

With complete upper and lowercase letters and all ten digits, Krinkes is ready for real wording, not just a single headline. Everyday marks like &, !, ? and @ are there too. Thanks to its accented letters, it also works for Spanish, French, German, Portuguese and Italian, not just English. Of its 421 glyphs, about 63 are not on your keyboard at all. That is where the alternates explained below live.

How to Use the Alternate Letters in Krinkes

Krinkes has stylistic alternates built in as OpenType features. In Illustrator and InDesign, open the Glyphs panel (Window > Type) and select a letter to see its alternates. In Photoshop, use Window > Glyphs. Figma shows them under the text settings as OpenType features. Canva and Cricut Design Space can't reach OpenType alternates, so for those, set the word in a desktop app first and import it as an SVG. Its ligatures switch on by themselves in most design apps: certain letter pairs join into one specially drawn shape.

Where Krinkes Works Best

Krinkes is a natural fit for vintage signs, barber shop logos and retro labels. Put it on an off-white or kraft-paper background and it instantly looks older.
