What You Can Type With Estilo Regular

You get every letter from A to Z in both cases and all the numbers from 0 to 9, which means Estilo Regular can handle full sentences, dates and prices. Everyday marks like &, !, ? and @ are there too. Thanks to its accented letters, it also works for Spanish, French, German, Portuguese and Italian, not just English. On top of that, it includes Greek characters. Of its 920 glyphs, about 226 are not on your keyboard at all. That is where the alternates explained below live.

How to Use the Alternate Letters in Estilo Regular

Estilo Regular has swashes, stylistic alternates and optional ligatures built in as OpenType features. In Illustrator and InDesign, open the Glyphs panel (Window > Type) and select a letter to see its alternates. In Photoshop, use Window > Glyphs. Figma shows them under the text settings as OpenType features. Canva and Cricut Design Space can't reach OpenType alternates, so for those, set the word in a desktop app first and import it as an SVG. Another 198 alternates are stored as separate characters, so you can copy them from Character Map on Windows or Font Book on a Mac and paste them anywhere, including Cricut Design Space and Canva. Its ligatures switch on by themselves in most design apps: certain letter pairs join into one specially drawn shape.

Where Estilo Regular Works Best

Designers usually reach for fonts like Estilo Regular when they're making book covers, magazine headlines and classic branding. Its lowercase letters are tall compared to the capitals, which keeps it readable at smaller sizes. Serif fonts shine in headlines and printed text. For long paragraphs on phones, check that it still reads well at small sizes.
