What You Can Type With EnicePlay
EnicePlay covers the full alphabet in upper and lowercase, plus all ten numbers, so you can set names, dates and prices without switching fonts. Common punctuation such as &, !, ? and @ is included as well. It also has the accented letters you need for Spanish, French, German, Portuguese and Italian.
How to Use the Alternate Letters in EnicePlay
EnicePlay has stylistic alternates and a stylistic set built in as OpenType features. In Illustrator and InDesign, open the Glyphs panel (Window > Type) and select a letter to see its alternates. In Photoshop, use Window > Glyphs. Figma shows them under the text settings as OpenType features. Microsoft Word can switch on stylistic sets in the Font dialog under Advanced. Canva and Cricut Design Space can't reach OpenType alternates, so for those, set the word in a desktop app first and import it as an SVG. Another 84 alternates are stored as separate characters, so you can copy them from Character Map on Windows or Font Book on a Mac and paste them anywhere, including Cricut Design Space and Canva. Ligatures and contextual alternates switch on by themselves: some letter pairs join into one shape and letters change to fit their neighbours, so repeated letters don't look copy-pasted. This works automatically in most design apps and modern browsers.
Where EnicePlay Works Best
Think of EnicePlay for greeting cards, journal pages and friendly social posts. Its lowercase letters are tall compared to the capitals, which keeps it readable at smaller sizes. Set it a bit larger than you would a normal text font. Handwriting styles lose their charm once they get too small to read comfortably. Because the family has more than one style, you can mix them in a single design for headings, subheadings and highlights.
