Chopin is a sans serif font designed by Svetoslav Simov, Viktoria Usmanova, Ivelina Martinova, Stefan Yatanski and published by Fontfabric (2024). Its clean letters skip the little "feet" (serifs) of traditional type, so it looks modern and reads well on screens. It is a variable font, so one file gives you a smooth weight slider instead of fixed styles.
In the notes inside the font file, Svetoslav Simov, Viktoria Usmanova, Ivelina Martinova, Stefan Yatanski describes it like this: “Modern and elegant sans serif font family.”

What You Can Type With Chopin
Chopin covers the full alphabet in upper and lowercase, plus all ten numbers, so you can set names, dates and prices without switching fonts. Everyday marks like &, !, ? and @ are there too. Thanks to its accented letters, it also works for Spanish, French, German, Portuguese and Italian, not just English. On top of that, it includes Greek and Cyrillic characters.
How to Use the Alternate Letters in Chopin
Chopin has optional ligatures built in as OpenType features. In Illustrator and InDesign, open the Glyphs panel (Window > Type) and select a letter to see its alternates. In Photoshop, use Window > Glyphs. Figma shows them under the text settings as OpenType features. Canva and Cricut Design Space can't reach OpenType alternates, so for those, set the word in a desktop app first and import it as an SVG. Contextual alternates switch on by themselves: letters change shape to fit their neighbours, so repeated letters don't look copy-pasted. This works automatically in most design apps. Apps with variable font support (Illustrator, Photoshop, Figma and modern browsers) show a slider for each axis. Older apps only list the named styles.
Where Chopin Works Best
Chopin is a natural fit for websites, app screens and clean logos. Its lowercase letters are tall compared to the capitals, which keeps it readable at smaller sizes. It works for headings and body text alike. If the download has several weights, use a heavier one for titles and a lighter one for paragraphs.

How do I install Chopin on Windows or Mac?
Extract the ZIP file, then open the font file inside it. Click Install on Windows or Install Font on a Mac. The ZIP has both OTF and TTF versions of the same font. Install only one of them (OTF is the better pick for Adobe apps), because installing both can show duplicate names in your font list. Restart any app that was already open so it picks up Chopin.
How do I get the alternate letters and swashes in Chopin?
They are OpenType features, so pick them from the Glyphs panel in Illustrator, InDesign or Photoshop, or the OpenType settings in Figma. Canva and Cricut can't reach them directly; design the word in a desktop app and import it as an SVG.
Can I use Chopin in Canva and Cricut?
Canva lets you upload it on Pro, Teams and other plans with font uploads (Brand Kit > Upload a font); free accounts can't upload fonts. For Cricut Design Space, install it on your computer first and it shows up under System fonts.

Yes. Chopin includes the accented letters needed for Spanish, French, German, Portuguese and Italian, so it works for more than just English.
Is Chopin a variable font?
Yes. It has a weight axis, which you can adjust with a slider in apps that support variable fonts.
What fonts pair well with Chopin?
For more contrast, pair it with a serif like Playfair Display or Merriweather in your headings.
