Richard Lipton designed Bremen Bold, a historic, heavyweight display typeface inspired by Ludwig Hohlwein’s 1922 poster lettering, which Bitstream originally published. The design features striking, massive geometric block structures drawing heavy inspiration from interwar German poster art. Lacking lowercase characters, Lipton strictly optimized the font for high-impact all-caps headlines, retro signs, book covers, and vintage-themed poster designs.
