What You Can Type With Blubly
You get every letter from A to Z in both cases and all the numbers from 0 to 9, which means Blubly can handle full sentences, dates and prices. Common punctuation such as &, !, ? and @ is included as well. It has 1 accented letters, but not the full set for Spanish or French, so test any non-English words first.
How to Use the Alternate Letters in Blubly
Blubly has optional ligatures built in as OpenType features. In Illustrator and InDesign, open the Glyphs panel (Window > Type) and select a letter to see its alternates. In Photoshop, use Window > Glyphs. Figma shows them under the text settings as OpenType features. Canva and Cricut Design Space can't reach OpenType alternates, so for those, set the word in a desktop app first and import it as an SVG. Its ligatures switch on by themselves in most design apps: certain letter pairs join into one specially drawn shape.
Where Blubly Works Best
Blubly is a natural fit for book covers, magazine headlines and classic branding. Serif fonts shine in headlines and printed text. For long paragraphs on phones, check that it still reads well at small sizes.
