Blippo Font

Joe Taylor designed Blippo Black in 1969 for FotoStar’s Facsimile Fonts range, creating an iconic, ultra-chunky geometric display typeface that Robert Trogman named. Drawing heavy inspiration from the experimental, unfinished universal typography sketches of the German Bauhaus school, the design features extremely thick stems, circular inner counters, and tightly packed letterforms that define a nostalgic 1970s aesthetic.
