What You Can Type With Bimbo

Bimbo covers the full alphabet in upper and lowercase, plus all ten numbers, so you can set names, dates and prices without switching fonts. Everyday marks like &, !, ? and @ are there too. Thanks to its accented letters, it also works for Spanish, French, German, Portuguese and Italian, not just English. On top of that, it includes Greek and Cyrillic characters.

Ligatures and Smart Letters in Bimbo

Its ligatures switch on by themselves in most design apps: certain letter pairs join into one specially drawn shape.

Where Bimbo Works Best

Bimbo is a natural fit for wedding invitations, logos and signature-style headings. Its lowercase letters are small compared to the capitals, so set it a size or two bigger than usual. The file has no kerning data, so in logos and big titles check pairs like AV, To and Wa and tighten the spacing by hand. Script fonts read best in short bursts, so keep it to names, titles and one-line quotes. Skip all caps: script capitals are drawn to start a word, not to fill one. Because the family has more than one style, you can mix them in a single design for headings, subheadings and highlights.
